For those just signing on with VetMedAcademy, it might be important to note that the first step is an application. You should note in 2 ways that your application was properly sent: 1) a banner at the bottom of the page noting it, and 2) an email indicating that your application is under review. We try to get to these within hours, but as our volunteer staff currently resides on the East coast of the U.S., you might expect a greater delay overnight. If you didn’t receive an email, check your spam box and accept emails from VetMedAcademy (firstname.lastname@example.org).
It is important to note that at this stage, your password is not normally set during this step.
Once your application is approved, a one-time password link is sent to you. If you don’t find it, please again check your spam mail and label email from that account as not spam for future important site communications.
Once you set your password, you will be automatically enrolled in all of the open learning modules. To see these on our learning management system (LMS), you will need to click through to the Learning Dashboard found on the main menu, the “In a Hurry?” link on the homepage, or through individual module links associated with their description pages. If you are not already signed in, you will be asked to do so at that time. Navigation menubars within the learning dashboard on the LMS can take you to open modules in which you were auto-enrolled, or allow you to see categories of courses, and even keeps track of your most recently viewed courses.
Detailed descriptions and screenshots are available on the main menu item “Help” under “Help Manual”.
Here’s to your safe and inquisitive learning.
