Dr. Li's research interests encompass reproductive physiology, specifically, the effects of uterine opioid peptides on uterine growth, as well as the immunomodulatory activities of porcine seminal plasma protein on the female reproductive tract.  He also is interested in the process of angiogenesis.


Dr. Li was the 2007 recipient of the Norden Distinguished Teacher Award, and, in 2011, received the highest teaching honor at the University of Georgia, the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Award. He currently teaches a physiology course for undergraduates, veterinary physiological chemistry and endocrinology for veterinary students, and comparative physiology for graduate students.
